Observational Drawing Practice

Friday is typically reserved for work in our sketchbook in art class at Hester, and last week was no exception.  Except, that it was gorgeous outside!  How could I pass up an opportunity to bring my students outside to practice their life drawing skills?!  We used the bike rack as a starting point, but after students finished their initial drawing, they were allowed to find other interesting topics around the school yard.  The students created some amazing drawings, so I would like to share them with you:
