The West Suburban Consortium of Academic Excellence (WSCAE) is a partnership of 15 school districts from Burr Ridge to Franklin Park and from Oak Brook to Oak Park. The WSCAE sponsored art expo was at the Cheney Mansion for the second year and it was a gorgeous event on a beautiful Saturday!
Sponsors for the event include:
- Sax Art Materials who generously donated a variety of art supplies including markers, watercolors, and pencils.
- Blick Art Materials donated markers, store coupons and 3 $100 gift cards.
- Cheney Mansion donated the space for the weekend.
- Joel Chung Center for the Arts donated pencils for writing fan mail and snacks for the teachers.
The three winners of the $100 gift cards were:
Simran Goel from Gower West, Gower School District #62
Gwynnethe Andal from Passow, Franklin Park School District #84
Kathryn Curtin, Julian Middle School, Oak Park District #97
We were fortunate enough to have State Representative Camille Lilly visit the show and she found 7 artworks she wanted to purchase from the student artists, including Hester's very own Vanessa Stankiewicz!
